Warehouse Dreams

Forgive me for my absence!  I underestimate how travel consumes us.  My trip to Old City in Philadelphia truly brought me back to my love for those old city buildings...

Living in a converted warehouse is an undying infatuation since I was much younger.  It must've come from watching my father work at the piers, in offices made of containers, and surrounded by mac trucks pulling in and out of large garages filled with spare parts.  Office chairs from the industrial age -- those that we make long trips to vintage markets to find.  Work lamps that now cost a fortune were everywhere I looked!  Ultimate industrial living!  I never tire of these spaces...

Ellie Goulding is H E R E

Certainly a flat not for everyone-- definitely quirky and pop.  I do love the skins and art (I have the same Bjork photo!)...  Not sure about the taxidermy.  Ellie Goulding has eclectic taste, as shown here in her London digs.

Eclectic Ease

I just love this flat...  The concrete, raw wood finishes, industrial touches.  I could definitely live here.

Midcentury Madness

Now, talk about being loyal to an era!  An architectural firm bfs design helped revive a 1957 building which was once a part of an exhibition in Tiergarten Park.  Originally designed by Eduard Ludwig.

Drooling for Danish style

Whether it's a new home tour or something I've been looking at for months, the Danes really get me drooling!  Oh how I wish!  My next Scandinavian trip will definitely be in Copenhagen...

That's it, it's decided-- this winter I am changing my sofa upholstery to white, which  will complement well with my sheepskins and cowhides.  And yes, I will finally get around to my minimal shocking pink accent!  Happy to know some Dane was thinking the same exact thing :)

This home is brilliantly photographed by femina.dk.  It is owned by fashion designer David Andersen, located north of Copenhagen.

Industrial Love

If you have no way out of exposed industrial parts, use it to its  highest potential, looks AND function!  Why not!  This is an artistic and less expensive way to relocate plumbing.  Just brilliant.

Truman Capote was H E R E

Si of french by design thankfully shared this inspirational home owned by the American artist Ross Bleckner.  It was once owned by writer Truman Capote.  Bleckner had repaired this once burned down property to a gorgeous Modern rustic sanctuary.  It is located in the Hamptons.

I am just so in love with the finishes!  Also truly demonstrating the art of living with less...
